The name
Panashe is a Shona name commonly understood as “God is here” or “God is with us.” The name expresses a posture, not a claim about the site: we come to Scripture ready to hear, believe, repent, and obey.
The Bible is more than information to collect. It bears witness to Jesus Christ, teaches wisdom and the fear of the Lord, corrects the heart, and makes us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all them that call upon him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
What you will find
Three paths, kept deliberately clear: Today begins with one short passage; Scripture opens the complete King James Version with Apocrypha; and Communion gathers readers around one daily passage, with other passages that help illuminate it.
Reading requires no account. Communion has no comments, profiles, rankings, or public counts.
What Panashe leaves out
No reader accounts. No follower counts. No comments. No streaks. No advertising. No behavioral analytics. Your reading preferences stay on this device.
Communion accepts only Scripture references as public witnesses. The privacy policy explains what the site sends and stores.
The interface is meant to recede so Scripture can hold the reader's attention.
Reading and design
Adjust the text size and typeface, show or hide verse numbers, place one verse per line, listen to a chapter, choose how pages move, and select a system, light, or dark appearance. Install the site for a focused app-like experience. Scripture text and reading preferences stay on your device; Communion and suggestions require network access.
Book descriptions, chapter titles, and introductions are original editorial aids, not part of the Bible text. A plain lite reader is available for older devices, constrained connections, and reading without JavaScript.
Support
If Panashe serves your reading, optional gifts help cover hosting, careful maintenance, accessibility work, native builds, and continued improvement. Support is always optional and never changes access to Scripture.
Ko-fi opens an external page for card-based support. The Bitcoin option copies the wallet address on this device.
Scripture remains available without payment, an account, a donor badge, or a public donor wall. Support does not unlock features or influence what appears in Communion.
Suggestions
If you find an error, unclear wording, or a better way to support faithful reading, send a suggestion. The form asks for neither your name nor your email address.
